PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello! Welcome to the 2018 - 2019 school year. What an exciting time for our school! We have received a 6-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) as a result of our extensive report and the committee visit in April.

Our staff attended several Professional Developments this summer that we are going to be applying in the classrooms for the 18 -19 year. The first (and most fun) is an automated PBIS program which will keep track of the points students earn for doing the right thing. This year brings two new outstanding staff members to Mesquite. Mrs. Denise O'Connell will be teaching math and science. Mrs. Sandi King is our new counselor. Both of these ladies have a love for continuation education.
We have all of our traditional activities planned - fall carnival, Thanksgiving and Christmas lunches - as well as some new ones that will be special.
We are also interested in more parents being on our School Site Council - members will volunteer approximately 5 -8 hours this year. I encourage you to contact me via email at [email protected] at any time if you have a question or concerns. You may also call the school at 760-499-1810.
